David Leff – President 
Dave lived in London until he was nine and his family moved to San Francisco. He attended Sonoma State University, graduating in 1976 with degrees in Psychology and English. He was on his way to law school when he decided to stay a little longer in Sebastopol and improve his carpentry skills.
In 1978 Dave formed Leff Construction as a sole proprietor. In 1987 his father joined him in the business, and they incorporated as Leff Construction and Development Corp. For a time Leff Construction was both a general contractor, doing new construction and remodeling, and a developer for residential infill projects. Eventually David and Irwin decided to move away from the development side. Leff Construction now concentrates its expertise on new construction and remodeling for residential clients.
Over the years Dave has learned and applied many different building philosophies and methods including solar and sustainable building, historical renovation and infill real estate development. He is interested in alternative building approaches and has added the best of these into his design-build approach at Leff Construction.
During the late 1990's, Dave taught "The ABC's of Remodeling" at Santa Rosa Junior College educating homeowners and contractors about the remodeling process. Dave frequently contributes design-build and construction articles to trade magazines and local newspapers and attends many building workshops and classes. He recently completed the year-long Sonoma State University extended education Green Building Certification series.
Dave's community involvement includes:

- Past member of the Sebastopol Design Review Board
- Past board member and treasurer of the Sebastopol Chamber of Commerce
- Past President of West County Softball Association
- Current and founding member of the board of Sebastopol Rebuilding Together
He is active as an Ursuline High School softball coach. He is also an avid guitar player and enjoys weekly practices and gigs with his band, Urban Legend.
