We purchased our property to develop a new vineyard. The previous owners expected we would level the old ranch home that is on the site and start from the ground up. We had expected to get that advice from whichever builder we selected. Dave Leff looked at the building and told us there was no reason to tear it down. He and his staff created a beautiful, cozy retreat in which we expect to spend the rest of our lives.

[Leff Construction was] very organized. No billing surprises. All extra charges were or additional work we requested and amounts were reasonable. Leff did a good job of anticipating all major steps and costs. Only a couple of very minor problems arose, that could not have been anticipated by Leff, and Leff addressed them very promptly and very fairly.

We got into a project with a builder recommended by a friend. Costs were high with no accurate estimates and quality was low. We then contacted 2 other builders for estimates. David Leff was the total professional, able to work with us to control costs and did an outstanding job. Our home went from an eye sore to a stand out in the community thanks to Leff Construction. The construction supervisor managed the sub-contractors very well. In certain cases, he made the sub's re-work certain items to meet expected standards. This worked very well, and alleviated a lot of stress on us as we could count on Jon. Everyone, in the end, did a great job. We were particularly pleased with Jon. We actually hired our own architect and interior designer. Have not had an opportunity to use Leff's team. Next time around, I would definitely use his design group. The job was thoroughly organized and well executed. We liked his subs and finish carpenters. Everything went well from start to finish. Although a complete remodel can be painful to live through, Leff made the process as painless as possible.

They did everything so well that they didn't even need a punchlist. If you ever want to hire someone, hire these guys. I was most satisfied with the staff onsite and their expertise of the actual finished product. The carpenters (Mark & Eric), themselves, managed everything beautifully. They were good about ordering the materials that had to be onsite and they were always here when they said they would be here.
